Mathematics is more than a subject of numbers and formulas; it is a universal language for understanding the world, discovering relationships, questioning, and developing analytical thinking. At the ACI Mathematics Department, we aim to help our students become fluent in this language, develop strong mathematical thinking skills, and confidently apply their knowledge and skills in different areas of life.

 

Our mathematics curriculum is designed within the framework of the Türkiye Century Education Model, bringing together our school’s long-standing educational tradition and contemporary approaches to teaching and learning. Beyond academic achievement, we value the development of students who are curious, inquisitive, capable of solving problems and thinking critically, and willing to take responsibility for their own learning. With this in mind, we enrich the learning process through experiences that recognize diverse learning needs, encourage active student participation, and make effective use of the opportunities offered by technology.

The ACI Mathematics Department consists of experienced and highly qualified educators, including both native English-speaking teachers and Turkish teachers with a high level of English proficiency. Our teachers not only help students understand and appreciate mathematics, but also encourage them to think independently, explore different approaches to problem-solving, and communicate their mathematical reasoning clearly and accurately.

 

Throughout their high school years, we provide our students with a strong mathematical foundation while supporting them in achieving their individual academic goals in the IB Diploma Programme and university preparation process. However, we see the purpose of mathematics education as extending far beyond examination success. Our goal is for ACI students to graduate as individuals who can approach problems systematically and creatively, interpret data accurately, reason logically, and transfer their learning to new and unfamiliar situations.
